Users of Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint were without service for over five hours on Sept. 28, four hours on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2020\/10\/1\/21496667\/microsoft-outlook-down-outage-service-issues\">Oct. 1<\/a>, and for intermittent periods of time <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crn.com\/news\/cloud\/-very-frustrating-microsoft-office-365-outage-hits-u-s-again\">today, Oct. 7<\/a>.<\/span><\/h6>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">These outages have been impacting users across the world, but have been most intense in the United States, specifically the Northeast, Midwest, and much of California.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/h6>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Are Hackers Causing the Crashes?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">These outages are not suspected to be the result of malicious hacking. Per Microsoft, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bleepingcomputer.com\/news\/microsoft\/microsoft-explains-the-cause-of-the-recent-office-365-outage\/\">a chain of poorly-constructed internal updates<\/a> has caused the interruptions.
